Housed in a new, modern terminal building, Guernsey Airport (GCI) is a small facility providing access for Guernsey residents to Europe and mainland Britain, while also bringing holidaymakers to the island. Although the single terminal has an annual capacity for 1.25 million passengers, it generally sees around 900,000 passengers pass through the terminal each year.
Guernsey Airport is located in the La Planque area and within the parish of Forest, lying directly south of St. Saviour and east of Torteval. The facility has a single ATM in the main concourse and is opened between the hours of 05:30 and 20:00, except for the winter months, when it opens from 06:30 to 21:00. The main airlines at Guernsey Airport include Aurigny Air, Flybe and Blue Islands, which regularly offer flights to the neighbouring island of Jersey.

Local buses operated by Island Coachways run to nearby St. Peter Port and other popular destinations around the island of Guernsey, such as Torteval, Forest, St. Andrew and St. Martin. Taxis are available on arrival or alternatively they can be pre-booked. Also worth noting, some hotels on Guernsey provide shuttle services to their establishments.

Sited in the Forest area of Guernsey and built in 1939, the Guernsey Airport had a very quiet first few years and it was not until the mid-1940s that frequent air passenger services really began to take off. Guernsey Airport soon gained strength and popularity, becoming an important doorway into this appealing member of the Channel Islands.
In 1960, the arrival of a modern, fully tarmacked runway measuring almost 1,525 metres / 5,000 feet proved a turning point in aircraft numbers and this particular runway is still actually used. Currently, around three quarters of all air traffic at Guernsey Airport is commercial, with the remainder being mainly passenger aircraft and recreational use.
Duty-free shopping can be found within the airport departure lounge, along with the Le Gouffre Food Village, while cashpoints are situated within the main concourse. For business facilities, Guernsey Airport boasts a large meeting room, complete with its own lobby area and kitchen. Nearby, the La Frégate Hotel is located at St. Peter Port and offers everything necessary for companies and business people wishing to conduct conferences or individual business tasks.
